About Us
We are a family run 501(c)3 organization, who are working to raise awareness about rare sarcoma and generate funds for drug trials and research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC – James).
Our Impact
Our first fundraiser took place in September of 2015. Since then, we have donated $62,500 to The Ohio State’s Comprehensive Cancer Center – James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute. Our donations have funded several drug trials and are currently funding a major drug trial at the OSUCCC - James. The goal is to discover treatments for rare sarcomas; and eventually find a cure. In addition, we have created 9 scholarships for Westerville Central High School for biology/chemistry majors.
Get Involved
Each year we host an annual fundraiser to spread awareness about rare sarcomas. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions our event has been cancelled this year. We appreciate your continued support and helping keeping Derek’s memory alive!
We also participate in the annual Steps for Sarcoma 5k hosted by The Ohio State University. This year’s event has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
